Interested in Wood Work or Construction? If you are keen to gain experience in the construction industry then GVRT’s woodworking skills programme may be able to help you! The programme is full time and will include: Confidence and Motivational Activities; Taster Sessions in a range of construction topics; Essential Skills; CSR and First Aid; Work Experience; Job Search This is a 26 week programme, after initial training it is 20 hours per week, in this period the course requires 30 hours per week to accommodate first aid and personal development training. Trainees receive an allowance of £60 per week plus travelling expenses. To participate potential trainees need to have an interest in joinery and the construction field; a willingness to undertake all elements of the programme; need to be available for all elements including essential skills (unless we exempt you). This is a highly sought after programme and participation is only available to those who want to undertake it and are prepared to give it 110%. |
